Power of Flowers
Studies show that flowers create feelings of happiness and well being
and can have a lasting, long-term effect.

improve memory?
Just think how powerful this can be for someone in a nursing home,
hospital, hospice care, undergoing cancer treatment, is lonely or just
going through tough times.
The Power of Flowers Project delivers flowers (free) to those in need of
a smile. Our recipients are chosen through many channels, including
community outreach programs, friends, home care organizations, elder
services, senior centers and cancer clinics , just to name a few.
Recycle, Renew, Reduce, Repurpose
We all are concerned about the environment. The Power of Flowers Project
is one small effort to reuse something beautiful and bring joy to
others.
Sources for donated flowers are funerals, weddings, banquets, church
services and other events where the flowers would most likely be
discarded after the event. Would you like to help?
We are looking for
Donations of flowers
Vases and other containers that can be used for arrangements
Volunteers to;
Pick up donated flowers
Re-new and arrange flowers
Deliver renewed flowers
How the project works
Donated flowers are picked up by volunteers
The flowers are refreshed, renewed and made into smaller floral
designs
Cards are included that acknowledge the donor (if requested)
These flowers are then personally delivered to people that need a
smile
